EOSD FOCUS Parent Portal News!!!!
Greetings EOSD Parents & Guardians, 
 
Quarter 1 Report Cards will post to the EOSD FOCUS Parent Portal on Friday, December 1, 2017.  Report Cards will be available for download for students in grades K thru Twelve only. 
 
For your convenience, you may download instructions here (please make the Instructions to Download Report Cards document as a downloadable here) on accessing mid-quarter notices and report cards on the EOSD FOCUS Parent Portal.   
 
If you have not registered for a parent portal account, we invite you to view the EOSD Parent Portal commercial ( please make a link to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJhLkvKbKt8) to help you get started.
 
Finally, it brings us great pleasure to announce this school year we will begin emailing report cards and mid quarter notices to one of the parents/guardians listed as the primary contact on their child’s contact information collected by the District.   If you are the primary contact for your child and would like to receive report cards, mid quarter notices, or other district communications via email please download, fill out, and return the Primary Contact Email Address Letter (Please make the Parent Email Address document the downloadable here) to your child’s school no later than Friday, December 8, 2017.

The Mildred Barry Garvin family provides a safe, academically rigorous and enriching learning environment where students acquire the skills necessary to develop educationally, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Vision

To create a school which equips students with 21st Century Skills utilizing innovative and instructional practices, fostering collaboration and developing critical thinkers.

Goals

1. Continue to provide focused, innovative, differentiated instruction and cooperative learning to increase student engagement which gives every student the opportunity to become critical thinkers utilizing the CCCS.
2. Continue to promote parental involvement in the education experience.
3. Continue to increase excellence in literacy and mathematics to enhance student
performance in all academic areas.

In accordance with new East Orange School District requirements, Garvin School will no longer be distributing printed copies of mid-quarter notices or report cards.
 
Parents and guardians may access these notice through the FOCUS Parent Portal. A link to the portal can be found under the Parent Information tab on the East Orange School District website, the FOCUS Parent Portal Information tab on the Garvin School website, or accessed directly through the following link:
